Robert and Jenny Stubbs are in ministry in the Anglican Diocese of North West Australia. Robert is the Minister-in-charge at Dongara/Mingenew Anglican Church. The Anglican Diocese of the North West has a large transient population that the church seeks to minister to. The ministry of the North West is vital to getting the Word of God out into the working and travelling communities of the vast great land of the North West. The North West is a Missionary Diocese, this means raising generous support for its ministry from outside of the diocese.

Dongara is 360km north of Perth, 65 km south of Geraldton and has a population of approx. 3000 people. The town has undergone strong growth in recent years with people looking for a ‘sea change’ and the population is expected to grow by approx. 1,500 in the next few years. Tourists mix shoulders with retirees, farmers, crayfishermen, miners and oil workers.

Mingenew is 45km east of Dongara and has a population of approx. 525 people. It is the site of the largest grain silos (receival point) in the southern hemisphere; evidence of productive wheat farms in the district.

PRAYER NEEDS

Please pray for Dongara-Mingenew as there is great opportunities for ministry across a broad spectrum of areas. The areas of ministry will include: school scripture, regular preaching, leading services, outreach activities, discipleship, training and evangelism

DUSTY BOOTS PROGRAMME

Robert and Jenny also continue to run the 'Dusty Boots Programme' for Bush Church Aid, which is separate to their ministry in Dongara/Mingenew. This Progamme is for Year 11 students to go into the bush, do some community service and get their boots dusty in learning about living in a rural community.

They have been members of Christ Church @ the College since its establishment and so maintain strong links with our Church community for prayer and financial support.
